Spartanburg County sheriff’s deputies responded to the Waffle House at 2230 Chesnee Highway just before 1:15 a.m. Saturday. Two masked men had entered the restaurant with the intention of robbing it, and at least one of them was armed, authorities said.

A customer, who is a concealed weapons permit holder, thwarted the robbery by pulling his gun and attempting to hold the men until deputies arrived. When one of the men pointed his gun at the customer, the patron fired, killing the teenager.

  1. Customer did the right thing. It’s upsetting having to kill anyone, especially a teenager, but I’d rather defend myself than lay down my life to some thug. Better to die on your feet as a man than beg for your life on your knees! That kids made a choice to walk in the Waffle House with a gun, and be doing so he declared that everyone’s life in there was in his hands. The only proper way to respond to that is to defend yourself. And, there is no telling if he would have shot anyone or not, better the guilty to die than the innocent.

    • AMEN! I’m sure the other patrons and of course the owner who was getting robbed fealt the same way. Go so far as to call him a Hero.

Of course now the Sherriff of that same county is under scrutany even from local democrat politicians because after an attempted abduction in said county he urged people to go get their concealed carry. Well, it’s a good thing this customer at the Waffle House did just that.

How many Sherriffs do you know actually ask more citizens in their county/parish to get the permits. LOL It’s pretty great if you ask me!

      Thanks for stopping back in!
